Capital Investment for Building Product Solutions
Lynne Darwin has been named in The Manufacturer’s Top 100 list of manufacturing role models.
The leading trade publication publishes its Top 100 list every year with the aim of raising the profile of manufacturing, dispelling myths and showcasing the sector as vibrant, exciting, and creative.
Within the Top 100, 20 were given exemplar status because of their unique contribution to the industry - Lynne was one of the 20.
From a standing start six years ago, Lynne has built Building Product Solutions into a £3.5m turnover business which employs 56.
Building Product Solutions is currently operational on 142 development sites across the North of England. We recently opened our own glass plant which brings the entire fabrication process in-house, and we're recording incredible growth!
Lynne said: “It’s a huge honour to be recognised among so many leading people in the manufacturing industry.
“I’ve worked in this sector from a young age and I’ve seen first-hand how rewarding it is to have a career in manufacturing. I’ve spoken previously about encouraging young people to consider careers in STEM and this achievement places me in the perfect position to continue to promote the industry.”
The most inspiring 100 people working in manufacturing were chosen by an expert panel of influential people and previous winners such as Nigel Fine, CEO, Institution of Engineering and Technology, Alan Foster, Operations Director, McLaren Racing and Terry Scuoler, CEO, EEF.
The list was formally launched at a dedicated event in Birmingham on November 25 where the role models, members of industry and national press celebrated their achievements within the manufacturing industry.
